Low-voltage (12V) is standard for residential landscape lighting. Safer and easier to install than line voltage. Transformer converts 120V to 12V. Install timer or photocell for automatic on/off.

Uplighting: place fixtures at base of trees pointing up at 30-45 degree angle. Downlighting: mount in trees pointing down for moonlight effect. Path lights: 10-15 ft apart along walkways.
